Hi All,
I Freshly installed server 11.10 works fine. I then installed Gnome for a GUI but now when I boot as is goes thirough its OK check the load stops, shows an orange astrix with the message "PulseAudio configered for per-user sessions" the cursor binks under this text. From then the startup halts. It must be a problem with Gnome as I tried a complete install again and the same thing happend.
