I have a laptop and a desktop that are both running ubuntu 11.10
My desktop is acting as a media server and a HTPC which means ideally I don't want to have any peripherals plugged into the desktop.
But it will have some functions beyond a htpc so will need controlling.
What I would like to be able to do is control the desktop from my laptop without interfering with the desktops output to my tv.
For example, my desktop is outputting XBMC to my TV, but while this is happening I am using my laptop to control a second window on my desktop (for example looking at analysis output).
Is this possible?
