I think I have stumbled upon a netflix fix THAT DOESNT REQUIRE VB.
In wine's appdb the latest version of silverlight is listed as bronze, it installs and runs after the installation of:
.NET 2
.NET 3
.NET 4
vcrun 2005
vcrun 2008

I think that if one were to install firefox or chrome for windows through wine and have all of the above installed then install silverlight beta 5 netflix might work. However I cannot test this theory because my computer doesnt yet have wireless (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1956318). I would immensely appreciate it if someone tested this before Microsoft releases an official silverlight 5. Please post results!!

Beats the PCSX2 workaround. Will see what I can do, but the force is not strong with this one. Wish me luck.

EDIT: Netflix is explicitly on the list of things that will not work. I'll see if I can concur.
