Help with Git public repo setup

I am setting up a repo for my new project Distro. I need some help setting up a repo on my server. Can someone help me please.

I automated the stuff with scripts on my home-server,
i already powered it down for the night so it's mostly memory.

The github process is:
run ssh_keygen with defaults
open your usercp
upload ~/.ssh/pub_key.rsa
create a new repo, and follow the instructions that are on the "source" page.
