user settings

Hi all,
I'm trying to setup an ubuntu 10.04 pc so that when a new user is created they pick up the settings from my user account (background, screensaver etc).
Is this possible? Presumably the defaults get loaded from somewhere when a new user is made.
Any help really appreciated.
