Okay, so I've got Ubuntu installed on my laptop (DELL Inspiron 8600, 2GB RAM, 1.5GHz processor, Nvidia GeForce FX Go5200 32MB video card) and on my desktop (HP, 2.0GHz processor, 4GB RAM, Intel HD 512MB video chip). I was comparing them today and the "Workspaces" feature (or the "Wall") are very different in appearance and features. On my laptop, it consists only of four black-outlined boxes with previews of the running programmes in them. On the desktop, they are outlined in orange, also previewing running programmes, but you can drag the programmes from one workspace to another, which cannot be done on my laptop. Why the difference?
Note: I installed Ubuntu on the laptop with Wubi (my optical drive doesn't work) and on the desktop with a disc. Is that why they are different, or is it something to do with my hardware?
