E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

hi, I just run the following command into terminal:
$ sudo apt-get install mysql-server
and get the following error....
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
please , help me to remove this.
Any kinds of help will be appreciated.

Hi, please post the full output of the installation command you gave above, instead of just the error. Also run


sudo apt-get update

and post the output as well. Make sure you use the [CODE] tags for the terminal output- it's the little # symbol in the toolbar when you reply.
