Hello,
I am trying to install Ubuntu 11.10 on my HP Pavilion 6899ee Notebook. However, I am stuck at the Preparing To Install stage, and the error it gives error: ubi-partman failed with exit code 141. I tried googling this problem, but apparently, its people who have faced this were trying to install beta version. Please let me know if you need any more info, or the log file.
PC Specs/General Info:
- Currently running Windows 7 on Local Disk C
- No empty volume. However, 80GB free on Local Disk C.
- Dual Core T3900 @ 2.50GHz
- NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS with 512 MB dedicated
- 3GB RAM
- 150GB Hard Disk
- Installing Ubuntu from USB Drive.
- Checked for disk error at boot; it found no errors.
- Also checked using system testing, which also found no error.
