I using using geany for python development only. Is there any way to set python as the default language/filetype when I open a new file or launch geany?

Thanks.

I never found a setting. But did have to change several settings to change tabs to spaces, save replacing tabs with spaces & under project change tabs to spaces.

Once you name a file .py it knows it is python and if you reload that project or file then it knows it is python.

I have liked geany but in playing with 12.04 have tried spyder2. It seemed to download a lot of additional libraries, but seems very interesting for as little as I have used it.
