Hi all,

a looong time ago, when dragons still roamed the land and the local Ikea was still called "Ye Olde Shoppe", I bought an ipod - and the people were happy.

many years later, the said ipod got stolen (or got lost). Thanks to the like of the iphone, music streaming and whatnot, apparently portable music players are a thing of the past (and seriously, my android runs out of battery faster than the road runner, why would you want to use it for music playback?). And this is just a bit ridiculous (http://reviews.cnet.com/best-hard-drive-mp3-players/?tag=contentMain;contentBody)

so my question to you is: is there anything remotely like the ipod classic? meaning:
- portable: say whatever you want, the ipod was a thin streamlined piece of electronics
- large storage: my old ipod was 120 gb (may he rest in peace) and it felt a bit cramped - I know it is almost impossible to listen to all music before passing your computer, but still it is nice to have everything at hand in case of "unexpected abba needs"
- user experience design: the clickwheel was pretty awesome and easy but since I never had another mp3 player I m not sure what else is there

so my tech savvy forum friends, what is rocking (or jazzing) your world?

I use a basic 2Gb beast from DSE (http://dse.co.nz) - not a fantastic capacity but adequate for the times I actually take it out.
