Offline driver installation

Hello,
My network goes UNCLAIMED, i downloaded what i think is the correct driver from another cpu, but as a newbie i don't understand how to install it offline. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm spending hours experimenting some things that i don't understand.
I'm on Lucid.

But, I know of no way to do it offline other than to download the debs on another Linux PC, copy them to this PC, and then try to install them.
