Hello, I installed ubuntu 11.10 64-Bit (Gnome version) on my desktop. Dual booted it with windows 7 64-Bit. In ubuntu, after i sign in (immediately) a fuzz sound pretty loud and annoying is coming out of my speakers, non stop.

I have tried a few things i found on the internet, one would be typing:
sudo /sbin/alsa force-reload into a terminal. It did make the fuzzing stop, for about 5 seconds, and then it came back (my audio WAS working in that 5 second period!)

I do not have this issue in windows. But if I did, I would try installing/upgrading the AMD Chipset driver.
Note: I still consider myself a noob to ubuntu.
And, I do not have this issue on my laptop.

Edit: I just checked, and this happens on the LIVE-CD also.
