Compiz Cube

I am running 11.10 with the MATE desktop environment. I have ccsm installed and I've been trying to get the cube working. I change the settings but nothing happens. I read somewhere that you have to turn of composite and OpenGL but when I try to it automatically shuts off the settings manager. Anyone have this problem?

Also check thread created by wildmanne39: Cube and Desktop Effects in Compiz (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1892851&highlight=compiz+cube), if you have any specific problem.

I had a hard time also with Compiz and setting up the settings.

Thee Mahn designed Ultimate Edition and his team is good at helping with that set up. They send you step by step instructions to your e-mail but you have to ask.

Also; after you make the adjustment in the Compiz Manager that you want you have to restart your computer-

Thanks I'll try that EDIT: This is kinda stupid but I tried signing up for the forum in the link you posted and for some reason no matter how many times I tried it kept saying I entered to confirmation code wrong. I must have tried 10 times. The letters are not at all hard to read I don't understand why it wouldn't let me. Now it won't let me sign up I have to try later
