Hey guys.

I got a Intel i7 processor with 8gb ram and over 1gb in video. So I need a 64bit system for the hardware to be efficient. as I tried downloading the iso file I saw that the name had AMD64, so my question is, will this work w/ my processor? should i find the intel compatible iso file and where do i get it.

As of right now im waiting for the 12.04 release but mean time I want ubuntu in my personal pc so 11.10 will do

Thanks

The AMD64 file is what you need, don't be put off by the name, it is called that for historical reasons. It will run on both Intel or AMD 64 bit processors.

Would you happen to know if Ubuntu have problems recognizing EVGA gtx 560 ti ftw 448cores?

Should be fine, it is listed as supported on the nvidia web site.

Should work fine with the proprietary drivers.
