this type of thing has been around for years in some form.

I prefer google glasses myself.

I like- "Gone are menus, icons, task bars, minimize and maximize buttons, the archaic Start button, wallpapers or even a command prompt. Rather, we are presented with a pleasant default blue screen (note that the color is non-configurable). It is the bold simplicity of this approach that makes GNOME 4 so powerful."

I thought Ubuntu eyeware was one of the funniest I've seen today. Totally love the expression "facial productivity" and how they are connected to a car battery for it's power source :lolflag:

The 1st of April - the day the internet becomes useless as you have to spend valuable time confirming whether anything you read is serious.

And I bet Apple already have a team on this idea to make sleek titanium I-glasses.

Oh wow, pitch-perfect. It's very similar to Google's approach, and there's a lot of self-parody in there. I love this:

Eyewear manufacturers keen to take advantage of the possibilities offered by this innovation should contact Canonical directly.

April 1 is the day that we get to be reminded that these companies really do know what they sound like to us the rest of the year, and I'm overjoyed to see Ubuntu participating in the festivities.

The Unity interface visible in the lenses and the long walk following the power cable to the car battery were brilliant. This made me happy.

Edit: Oh God, even the tagline is a self-reference, a jab at the HUD press release. "Intenterface," meet "inter-FACE." Awesome.
