So I have Ubuntu (11.10 32-bit) burnt on a disc and ready to boot, but when I do, I get sent to the screen where it gives me the option to install, but when I choose it, I get an error message. I unfortunately forgot to write it down but I will soon.

Sure error message would help. Also tell us a little about the hardware your running. Graphics card/chip more specifically.

Did you burn at a slow speed?

I wasn't able to get the error message this time because when I went to boot from disc it booted straight to Windows.

Anyway, my computer model is an Acer Aspire 5336-2524.
My processor is an Intel Celeron 900 ~2.2GHz
3.072 GBs RAM
My graphics chip is a 4 Series Express Chipset Family with approximately 1.308 GBs of memory on it

EDIT: I burned at the slowest speed allowed by Gizmo, x22.

Specs look good. If you rebooted and it went right to Windows, it sounds like a bad burn.

Try ISO Recorder (http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm) it will let you burn @ 2x - 4x
