Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good Ubuntu books that I can learn from. I understand the basics and know my way around the terminal; I've looked at at Ubuntu Unleashed and it seems as though I understand most of what is in it so the amount of usefulness of the literature isn't as much as I would like. That being said I am in no way knowing anything other than how to install programs and solve a couple UI problems that are general computer-tech problems. I would just like to understand more so I can help more, gotta get up that learning curve somehow!

All the best,

Cody

I kind of doubt you'll find what you're looking for by looking only for books on Ubuntu. You should probably broaden your search. You might want to look at books for various Linux certifications if you want to be challenged. Beyone that, expanding your online reading to include Debian-related sites wouldn't hurt, either.

Speaking of books, my local library (http://library.pcc.govt.nz) has some Ubuntu-related books. For a while, the only one was related to 7.04 but they seem to have some more now.

There's a new 'Official Ubuntu Book" coming out in a few months, http://amzn.to/H9YgXQ
but again, books can quickly become outdated.
