Problems after upgrading to11.04

Hello all
i am having huge problems with my GUI applications after i upgraded to
11.04
I had a Swing application which ran fine under 10.04.

when i upgraded, all the swing frames were hanging and the application was unresponsive.
I then rewrote my application in python, and still got the same result......

could anyone advise what can i do?

Can you load 11.10 onto a Live USB and test it? It is possible that there are driver incompatibilities that a clean installation may fix.

If you have an LTS, normally you don't want to upgrade shortly before a new LTS is due out. 12.04 LTS is just a month away.
