No pdeudo-transparency after upgrading to 11.10

After upgrading from Xubuntu 11.04 to Xubuntu 11.10 I can't get pseudo-transparency in terminator. I can get real transparency by checking "Enable display compositing" in Settings -> Windows Manager Tweaks -> Compositor, but I need pseudo-transparency (with only wallpaper visible under terminator window). Is there a way to get it back?)

It looks like this is related to the fix of the shutdown bug. See: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7442. It doesn't appear to be fixed yet.
