Hey all~
So I don't post here much, honestly forget to. I'll try to more ... anyhow, i has a question I hope someone can answer.

In most other environments, Gnome2 , Windows etc. you can minimize a window to the 'task bar' ... yet in Unity, I have not been able to figure out how to minimize a window to the unity launcher bar ... anyone know how I can do that? [a shortcut, a hack etc]

Not too big of a deal, I just think it'd be a nice feature!
Thanks
~j

oh btw, I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 w/the most current stable build of Unity. I also do have the proprietary ATI drivers installed

Keyboard shortcuts are an important tool to have at hand.

i.e. Alt+F9 will minimize,

Alt+TAB will switch windows/open apps, (or unity launcher bar)

Alt+F5 will unmaximise

Alt+left mouse click will allow you to move window

Hope this helps:popcorn:

Also, move the cursor to the top panel and you'll see the windows button.
