PPAs not working

Guys I have the following problem,

when I try to add any PPA I constantly get the error 404 Not Found, while others tried the same PPA and it worked for them.

I use the command sudo add-apt-repository PPA, it normally imports the PPA with keys but when I refresh, I get that error. Any help?

I'm running Xubuntu 11.10 x64 bit modified with a bit of Linux Mint stuff, like Mintupdate.

Hi is this the format you are using?

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:elementaryart/elementarydesktop
It sounds like the server may be down or the ppa is not on the server at this time.

If you're using 11.10, change the webupd8 PPAs to http://ppa.launchpad.net/nilarimogard/webupd8/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/

I would also remove any debian repositories if I were you.

Hi, you have quite a lot of repositories like debian and mint, I recommend setting them back to default here is a link to do that.

Run
gksu software-properties-gtk in a terminal, uncheck the appropriate boxes under the 'Other Software' tab. Close the program when you're done, and it should prompt you to reload the sources lists; let it do so.

Nope, doesn't help. Today I tried to add the clamav update PPA with the command
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-clamav/ppa it even added the PPA with keys, but when I update, always the same, 404 Not Found. Am running Xubuntu 11.10 x64 bit

Could this be the problem? I have Xubuntu 11.10 installed, but Ubuntu Tweak shows I got LinuxMint 1 Debian installed >.>

I would be inclined to make sure that all of your source.lists are referring to the correct version.

Check them in software properties

You have all sorts of repo's in your sources.
