No grub after updating

Hi,

I am new to ubuntu and is using 11.10 . I like it very much and very pleased with it also.

Recently i applied some updates which after that i was asked to restart to my system. After rebooting GRUB does not get loaded. It's getting stuck in a Black screen with some system checking messages (like checking battery status, starting bluetooth, starting daemon .. )

I don't know what to so. I can access terminal . Is there any way to revert back ?

You could try a complete system reinstall

As for reverting back... dunno if you can do so

You can see if it shows what is the error, where it stops loading, and google that error for solution.

You can also make sure it is not a video problem, there is a sticky on top of the threads for video problems. But usually this can be a problem if you upgrade to a newer version and not during update of the system.
