UbuntuGuide.org (http://www.ubuntuguide.org/ ), where Ubuntu users can discuss, contribute and improve this command-driven, community-built guide.

Main improvements on Chua's original guide:
1) new wiki format
2) anyone can now contribute, making this a community-driven project

At its core, it's still a terminal-centred, command-driven How-To Guide intended to get people up and running with Ubuntu as efficiently as possible.

Its goal is to keep instructions as simple as possible.
Q: How do I do "X"?
A: Use this command.

This approach has its advantages and disadvantages. Some may prefer the official Ubuntu docs, Automatix, EasyUbuntu, etc. That's great, as we love these efforts, too, and think choice is good in the Ubuntu community. The intent is to complement, not compete.

If you'd prefer this original Ubuntu Guide approach, want to get an idea for how Linux works at the terminal level, and want a guide that includes 3rd party repos, packages and options, then jump in and help out at Ubuntuguide.org ( http://www.ubuntuguide.org/).
