Hey everybody,
I'm really enjoying the new system I just built, which I loaded with Ubuntu, of course. I love almost everything about using a linux based system, but one little issue has come to mind.

You see, I finally retired my PowerMac G5, and after taking out the parts that I could either reuse or sell, I was left with the case (which is still cool looking and kind of futuristic). I wasn't really interested in modding it to make a "hackintosh" but I don't want to just scrap it either... I'd like to do something creative with it.

My thoughts so far are:
aquarium (although I'm not a big fan of fish...)
bookcase (a rather small one unfortunately)
turn the removable side panel into a futuristic picture frame?

Any ideas, no matter how unusual would be welcome!

I would build a new PC with it, but I'm not sure if this is what you call modding it to make a hackintosh (AFAIK, a hackintosh is a regular PC with OSX installed).

Fridge?

Making it into a little beer fridge would be VERY cool!

I'm going to look into that...

The PowerMac G5 would look even cooler.

This is always an option, too.

I vote for that.

I was going to say bird house, but the fridge and mailbox ideas are cooler.

You could get a multichanger CD player from a car and have a 12 volt jukebox. And if you really wanted to, add some sound to light panels on the front.
