Grub, no keyboard Aspire 722

I have tried ubuntu 11.04, 11.10, 12, and also linux mint 11, and 12. Once it gets to the grub menu the system freezes and i have no way to select an option to boot. I have checked the bios for the legacy support and there is no option for that.

Any suggestions or help would be great.

Do not know about Aspire. Generally it is a USB setting for keyboard & mouse. Both Windows & Ubuntu seem to use their own drivers but grub uses the BIOS setting.

Enabling USB Legacy Support - If keyboard does not work.

Some have also had issues if fastboot on some systems is turned on.
