You know how in Ubuntu 11.10, in the sidebar you can select "keep in launcher"? When I do this with the Terminal, it acts very weird. If I close the Terminal and tell it to stay in launcher, it will.. but when I click the icon in the sidebar, it opens a NEW Terminal. So, I then I have 2 Terminals open. It just keeps opening them if I click.

How do I make it act like the Firefox button does in the sidebar?

Hello and Welcome

You can reset launcher icons in Unity with the following command , but you will have to add you most used applications again.

Unity --reset-icons

If I close the Terminal and tell it to stay in launcher, it will If the terminal has not already been saved to the launcher the icon would disappear when the terminal is closed.??
