I am having a problem with Gnome Classic and the title bar menus. If I click on the Applications menu, the dropdown appears as normal, but sliding teh pointer down doesn't select any of the menus. clicking on a sub menu pops up the sub menu and immediately disappears. The only way I can navigate through is to double click and hold then slide through the menu.

I am using an Elantech trackpad, but haven't set up any options other than 2 finger scroll.

Anyone know what the deal is?

Switch to "Gnome Classic no effects" and see if the problem persists. Gnome Classic uses compiz and "no effects" (fallback) does not.

I have a similar problem. Mine is that I can navigate the menus, but only on hover. If I click something which is not an application on the menu, then the menu flashes and I have to hover over a different entry before I can select the one I wanted. Going to Classic (No Effects) does not help here.
