Hi,
I am new to ubuntu.I have been trying to install ubuntu on my laptop but am quite unsuccessful :(.My pc config is: intel core duo 1.73 GHz,1GB ram,120gb HDD.,i already have windows 7 installed and its working fine.I tried installing ubuntu first using ubuntu wubi, then live cd.I tried installing in dual boot config and a clean install.None work.

What happens is: install completes.then i am told to reboot.after reboot i get 2 options :windows and ubuntu. When i select ubuntu error comes:busy box v something and then (initframs) and thats it. pls help.

I checked up the net...someone suggested i do a chkdsk in windows and see.Did that but still same effect.

I cant boot into windows 7 though without any problem.

Pls help as I am doing a project called the openbts at my college and ubuntu is the os used.so pls its urgent .kindly help

thanx
