Hi!
First of all,let me tell you all that I used Google for this topic. But most of the stuff I found was related to customising the looks of ubuntu.I don't want to do that anymore. Also, besides customization the remaining stuff was too high level for me.I would like to know some 'cool ubuntu things to do' for beginner or intermediate level. Something which is fun to do ... I am not interested in the output ..

1) Poke around the Software Center and try things. Word processors, text editors, even games.

2) This may fall under appearance customization, but try new desktop environments. Give gnome-shell a spin, after all, you can always change it back from the login screen.

3) Do things on your computer. Take up blogging or programming, or just surf the Internet. Ubuntu is supposed to disappear into the background, so you can do what you enjoy.

Learn things. :)

Such as; how DNS, LDAP, DHCP, Virtualization, SSH, CSSH, RDP, Email Servers, Apchie Servers, Wiki/Forum/Blog LAMP stacks, and so forth, work.

Ya,that is the sort of thing I am looking at.I had already set up a web server ... just for fun.But besides that I couldn't find anything similar.Still I will try to learn about the things you have told.

And BTW I am not much interested in programming(Don't mind) :).

How about just kicking back, and enjoying your Ubuntu install? I find that to be very cool. ;)
