Okay so this is going to sound crazy, because it is. I have an old Pentium 4 Dell PC and a MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard. What I'm trying to do is run the Ubuntu 10.04 ISO in Virtualbox and then SSH into the PC running Lucid Puppy in RAM (live cd). I've got as far as setting up the PC's hard drive with an Ext3 and swap partition, successfully configured SSH on both computers, and even got Ubuntu running just fine in Virtualbox.

Ubuntu has mounted the target hard drive and it appears as a folder on the desktop. I can access Puppy's root directory including the mounted target hard drive. However, as soon as I start the Ubuntu installer, the folder disappears and I am only given the option for a VBOX installation. I know I'm missing something simple here I can feel it.

Any help would be great!
