Hello all benevolent people,

As far as I'm concerned there is no such a thread.

I've got very nice ubuntu 12.04. Working smoothly as for now, with occasional bugs. But I've got this wheel problem which recently focus my concentration more and more: whenever I scroll down/up on screen it goes as there was no rule for it down/up/down and up/up and down. The only certain is that when scroll long enough one direction I will get at more less desired spot. My mouse communicates through usb antenna.

I've searched for solution in compiz-manager and system settings but didn't find anything.

Thank you in advance,

Recently I have the same problem with a USB mouse in 10.10. It was working before so I'm not sure if it is a hardware problem or the result of a software "upgrade".
It's a Glaser mouse by A4 tech.

Mine is nothing popular since it's polish brand. I've got keyboard working on that usb connection too. No idea as well if it's hardware or software.

when I turn scroll one direction it randomly takes it as a button 4 or button 5.

That's hardware problem. I've checked out mouse behaviour on windows. It's erratic as well. :/
