It's called rockbox (http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/WebHome). I run it on my iRiver 340 :D

Oops ](*,) I don't see it list (http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/TargetStatus) the zune or ipod touch. but maybe you can find some advice or directions on their forums.

I'm ashamed to admit that I too, have a Zune HD -- and would like to know specifically, WHICH websites claim to be able to run ANYTHING on their Zune, because my experience is that MS locked it up so tight, that Linux distros don't even SEE it!

Ok, then first, why did you ask the question -- if it IS mounting just fine?

And second, since you made the claim that websites say this will work, why did you NOT answer my question about which websites?

And finally, WHICH specific Linux distro? There are (last count) over 400 of them, and if you really CAN mount just fine, then you should have no problem telling us which distro and which version you are running to accomplish this. Right?

NO ANSWERS -- in nearly 24 hours. I think that tells us that this was just SPAM.

I also own a Zune HD but sadly NEVER use it due to the device only strictly working with the Zune software on MS, but recently I heard that possibly some progress has been made, although I'm not quite sure of how much development actually has been done. But anyways here is the link to the website if anyone is interested http://kbhomes.github.com/2012/02/13/mtpz-implementation.html
