Is there any way to install the "old" gnome-shell in Precise?

The fall-back session is available and the command is in the "Getting back to Classic Gnome" sticky in Absolute Beginner Talk section. Gnome 2 as in 11.04 and before is no longer supported by Gnome , but being used in other distributions.
