Does anyone run Blackbuntu? If so do you recommend upgrading from Ubuntu 10.10 in the Update manager?

No , I don't use it . Ubuntu 10.10 reaches end of life in April . I would stick with 10.04 which is supported until next year and find out if you will be able to upgrade to 12.04.

I don't how often Balckbuntu is released. Since 10.04 and 12.04 are LTS you may be able to do a direct upgrade.

True, but I can't find the release dates for Blackbuntu, but I think it was built on 10.10 after newere release were out, so if it was for a reason, I might want to stay on 10.10. I could update all the way to 11.10 through the update manager, but not sure if I should.

Have you been here?

http://www.blackbuntu.com/

The latest version is on 10.10.

Do not expect projects like this to follow the release schedule of Ubuntu. Some of the official Ubuntu variations are not going to be LTS when they go to 12.04. Just how official is Backbuntu?

Regards.

Yes I have, being the reason for this thread. Updates to the Ubuntu core are available from the Update manager in Blackbuntu, but I do not know enough about Ubuntu and it's variants to know if updating beyond 10.10 is a good thing.
