Hello all!

I'm at my darkest moment now and I'm struggling to remain as calm as possible.
I was unable to upgrade my laptop from 11.04 to 11.10 because I removed libreoffice which in turn developed package dependencies and could not upgrade online.
I tried upgrading from the liveCD (firstly making a backup) and finally my deepest fears came to reality :(. I was unable to upgrade my system, the upgrade option does not appear now on the installation process and without the liveCD i'm unable to boot my old and good ubuntu 11.04.
Relevant information:
- I stop at the initrids shell.
- I think that during the installation ubuntu asked me if I would mount or unmount the filesystem disk and the error is mount/related.
- I really don't want to install 11.10 over my current filesystem, it would give me too much work to put everything back the way it was, despite the backup.

I thank for any help at all. I'm not a newbie, but I'm not an expert as well.

I'm desperate, please help me!
André
