Hi, I have installed Ubuntu 11.10 on my laptop by replacing windows 8, after installation complete
there is a message show like "Missing Operating System" please help me....

You don't have the grub2 installed on the MBR of /dev/sdb. Maybe it was on /dev/sda which now seems missing.

Boot with the ubuntu cd in live mode and in terminal execute:

sudo mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt
sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt /dev/sdb

That should sort it out. Restart and see if it boots fine.
