Hi Folks,
I've been perusing the threads on this subject and need help. I just sold my IBM X40 and picked up a Lenovo X120e with the AMD E-350 integrated processor in it.

I plan on dual booting it with Windows 7 preinstalled. I actually like Windows 7 but I'm a diehard Ubuntu fan.

That said I want to install 64 bit Ubuntu in my laptop but have seen some issues regarding compatibility. Others said 32 bit Ubuntu works fine. How much of a disservice would I be doing myself if installed 32 bit Ubuntu instead of 64? Any good advice would be appreciated.

In my opinion the biggest tie decider is the amount of RAM (present and future upgrade plans).
32bit can address only 4GB, in reality about 3.5GB. If you have or plan to have more RAM then by using 32bit you are effectively not using it.

For the rest, depends if you have particular apps that you are interested in and whether 32/64 makes difference for them.
