I have an Ubuntu 10.04 install that I would like to add a volume (new drive) to and need some direction please.

Install:
i7 on an ASUS P6T Motherboard with on-board RAID and host drive
500GB for boot, root, swap and home
3x 2TB in hardware RAID 5 created by MB BIOS\

I have Ubuntu 10.04 installed and running on the 500GB host drive.
I want to add a "Share" volume using the RAID drives. I have created the RAID volume named "Share" via the RAID interface and need to create a volume named "Shared" in Ubuntu. This will be utilized via NFS and Samba for Virtual Machines and other pc's.
When I have run fdisk -l it reports each of the 3 drives in the RAID but it does not list the RAID volume "Share". This is the part that really confuses me.

I need some pointers as to what documentation would describe how to go about performing this task. Could someone be kind enough to point me with direction to appropriate documentation? I have struggled with appropriate keywords in google searches.

Thank you!
Steven
