Hi all, I'm a new convert to Ubuntu - I decided to add it as a dual boot to my Windows 7 machine but it messed up the Windows 7 (not available at boot). Instead of worrying about that I decided to go in deep and see if I could just live with Ubuntu instead, in my work environment too, so far so good, I'm loving Ubuntu.
I only have one problem that I hope somebody can help with, I use two monitors in a dual screen setup - both Samsung SyncMaster BX2335 screens.
I have an Nvidia graphics card GEForce 8600GT
The dual screen is working but I am getting display error messages when I boot up, also under 'Displays' no monitor is detected, even if I hit Detect Displays.
EDIT - just noticed that if I log in a Guest everything works perfectly! :/
So it's kind of working, but folders and files are shown in a very basic way with no styling, all grey and basic looking.
This is my xorg.conf file - hope somebody can help.;
