Until about 24 hours ago when I would minimize pidgin it would close the buddy list and place it in the system tray making it accessible via the envelope notifications applet.
Now when I click the "X" on pidgin it closes pidgin completely.
I am sure I am not the first to have this issue but I have been unable to locate what I am looking for.
What I want is pidgin to minimize to the messaging applet and be accessible from there. I don't want to minimize to the taskbar. I also don't want the pidgin purple icon on the systray.
I have tried to find settings for notifications and have not found anything intuitive that would allow me to edit this. I have search many different sources and only found one other person having this same issue but they received no answer.
