Hi Ubuntu Community Team,


Kindly build the packages which can support to install the Oracle 11gR2 and related oracle fusion middleware.

Its really tough time to google and google and google weird of the info, scattered across the ubuntu forums but not 100% worthy to resolve installation

I use Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit OS

Kindly support with right packages

Can you better explain what your issue is here. Which 11g RC2 packages were not supported and so forth. Making a call without more details isn't going to resolve your issue any sooner.

hi,

iam installing oracle 11g r2 on my ubuntu 11.10 version.

i have installed by skipping many steps as success.

after installation i got error tns contact issue, that means i m unable to start my oracle listener.
I REQUEST THE UBUNTU TEAM TO BUILD COMPATABLE PACKAGES VIA UBUNTU INSTALLATION OR THROUGH UPDATE

Reading Oracle's OTN license, I don't think there's a legal way this can be packaged for *buntu. Quote: "You may not...make the programs available in any manner to any third party"

Anyway, the proper place to make suggestions and requests is brainstorm.ubuntu.com.

hi,

i have installed oracle 11g R2 by skipping many steps but i could not able to start the database and lot of issues..
Can you try to install 11.10 64 desktop version and install database. please provide steps you succeed, i am claimbing on wall for the solution

First of all, Oracle is not officially supported on Ubuntu. Second, there are literally tons of documentation available on how to install Oracle on Ubuntu. Since you don't say what exact problems you had, its almost impossible to provide help. Anyways, here are some of the tutorials I found on a quick search through Google:
