Hey folks I have one issue... so I am running ubuntu 11.10 oneiric ocelot parallel to backtrack 5. I updated the linux kernel from 3.0 to 3.2.9 on the ubuntu system. according to this link http://www.howtoforge.com/kernel_compilation_ubuntu When I rebooted it happened that backtrack (first on the grub list) is linked to the new kernel and ubuntu is still linked to the old kernel, even so the kernel has been build and installed in the other linux. I quite understand the problem as they both are ubuntu based. However, how can I make grub understand to use the new kernel also for ubuntu 11.10 where it was installed for? Thanks in advance for any help.
