Creating a persistent session in Kubuntu Live CD

I have a Kubuntu Live CD and an extra USB stick. How can I create a persistent Live session and save it on the USB stick?

I've poked around in the K-menu but nothing obvious jumps out.

Am I right in assuming that creating a persistent usb stick is not an option?

That looks like actually installing Ubuntu to the USB stick. Is there a way to just use the Live CD and keep session info on the stick?
