View Full Version : [ubuntu] 2 icon over my home folder

Hello, fellow Ubuntu users!
I'm running Ubuntu 11.10, and the other day I noticed a certain peculiarity. Normally, when I do not have my home folder open, the launcher icon looks normal, and it's pretty much the same when it's open, save the arrows on each side.

Now, however, while it looks normal while the home folder is closed, the number 2 pops up in an oval on the top of the launcher icon when I open my home folder.

My first thought was that it needed an update of some sort, so I ran the usual "sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade" from the terminal. Needless to say, there were no updates to be found. I'm the kind of person who gets bothered by icons having numbers popping up on top of them, especially when I have no idea as to what they mean. Could someone who has some more experience with the Unity interface please explain the cause, and hopefully, how to get rid of it?

Thanks in advance.
