Im getting the update right now, one of the updates says firefox1.5.0.4. Im glad they are doing this.

yes, its so nice to be able to globally update it without having to resort to installing it to /opt. it's so much better when i actually get the new version cause then there are no conflicts with plugins and stuff.
i just have to say thanks. firefox is one of the things that should be updated like this.

You're entitled to keep the Ubuntu version if you want, but just FYI, if you use nanotube's installer script (http://pykeylogger.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Ubuntu:Chronicles#Install_Firefox_1.5), there are no conflicts with plugins--the plugins to the /opt folder are actually symlinked to the Ubuntu plugins in /usr/lib/firefox/plugins.
