Fonts deterioration issue in 10.10

Hi,

I am facing a strange problem with fonts deterioration in my Ubuntu 10.10 which is very annoying.

This happen all the times and if i change the resolution dots per inch is fixed temporarily (for some minutes).

I am using the default fonts (ubuntu) with compiz and smoothing subpixel and slight.

Any ideas how to fix it ?

I have the same thing happen in certain places (usually Opera, sigh...) and fixed it by using a different font. Perhaps you could try DejaVu Sans or Droid Sans, which are similar to your pic.

Apparently this is working at least for the last 5 hours :)
