I downloaded an .iso file, created a bootable usb, ran it and got about 20+ lines of "Internal interrupt" errors and reboots. It goes in a loop if I don't remove the usb.
I thought the .iso file is corrupted or such, so I checked the MD5SUM and found that it doesn't match the one on the website download page.

How did this happen? And should I download another one? Or each file comes with a different hash?

Thanks

How did this happen?
Well, corrupted download; that happens occasionally. ;-)

And should I download another one?
Yes; if available, I'd try downloading via torrent this time (are we talking about Ubuntu ISOs? If yes, go here (http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/alternative-download#bt).).

Or each file comes with a different hash?
Each file has different hash, each copy of them not. :P

Regards.

No, it's ClearOS, I'm trying to set up a firewall for my home network (5+ devices).

This is the MD5Sum: 16c6023edd6b51fe5917331365754711 that the website is claimed the .iso file has.
And this is the MD5SUM: 7515f7bf944f18e71c8625f125fad039 that comes with the .iso I ended up with.

Anyway, I went with SmoothWall, and I have some questions about it. Should move to "Security Discussions" ?

For that matter, yes, start a new thread over there.
