Unity 2.0

Is there a way I can install an older version of Unity on Elementary OS instead of the newest one. I just want to play around with it. I want to install Ubuntu 10.10's version of Unity. How do I do that?

Unity came with the netbook edition on 10.10 and I'm sure you could get the package . I guess it would depend on if you could meet the dependencies with Elementary .What version of Ubuntu is it based on ?

It is based on 10.10 I just cannot find the packages for it.

It will work, but if I do
sudo apt-get install unity it will install version 4, I want version 2 or 3.

Well that screwed up... all it did was start a launcher, no top bar, no applications on the launcher, and no dash... just a blank launcher that did not work... oh well I guess I will just download the 10.10 UNR iso and play with that. Thanks anyway though.

The 10.10 version was considered pre-unity and only netbook version included it.
