Have the 64bit 11.00 Ubuntu installed. All of the viewable features are working. Additionally, I have an Android device connected to the same computer via USB cable. I see no feature on the Ubuntu desktop that would allow me to connect to the device. My goal would be to install apps to the device. Guidance sought.

Android devices usually appear as removable disks, and you can just drag and drop files onto them.
(you may need to enable USB storage on the device when you connect it).
If not, check the cable, as some cheap cables do not support data transfer.
