Hello, I am having issue with some DVDs not being read. Most DVDs work just fine, but I am having trouble with DVD-Rs that have been burned using my Panasonic standalone DVR. I have been using it to record old camcorder videos into, burning a DVD-R, and then trying to bring it into ubuntu to edit/splice/clip videos, etc. The drive will load the disk, mount it (but not automatically bring up nautilus like all other disks), but when I try to view the contents, everything is blank.

Using the disk utility, it shows the mount point to be DVD_VIDEO_RECORDER and is a UDF filesystem.

Also, the DVDs work fine in standalone players and windows, just not in ubuntu 10.04.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this to read??

Edit: I was able to get the disk to play by using VLC. I started VLC, then open disk, and they play just fine. But I can't do anyting else with them, only play them.

Thanks
